It’s pretty awesome until you see that they exclude butches and non-FTM transfolk from their program:
It may seem to some of you that this is discriminatory, however, this program was created for Transmen and here’s why.
There is a vast difference between Transmen/FTM and TG Butch/Lesbians and Lesbian Drag Kings.
- Transmen are Transsexuals - They are not Transgendered.
To be Transgendered, in the case of females, means wishing to Transcend Gender lines, blurring these lines for purposes of mostly self gratification rather than to make mind and body whole. That’s not a bad thing - it’s a personal preference, a conscious choice.
There may be some comfort for TG Butch in dressing as men and using a male name but being Transgendered is not being Transsexual. Some TG Butch are lesbian and there are some who are straight who dress male and date only men. Do you see what I mean by ‘blurring the lines’?
